ABOUT THIS SERMON

In the English language, "hope" often implies uncertainty—a wish for something that may or may not happen. However, the original Hebrew and Greek words translated as "hope" throughout Scripture (*kava*, elpis) carry a completely different meaning: an absolute, confident, eagerly awaited expectation—much like preparing for the arrival of a newborn baby or a long-awaited wedding day.

Drawing from Genesis, Jeremiah, Romans, and Revelation, this sermon reveals that God created the Earth itself in expectation of bringing many sons and daughters into His Kingdom (Romans 8:19). Knowing that Christ’s return and the marriage supper of the Lamb are absolute certainties, true believers do not merely "hope" from afar—they actively prepare, purify their lives, and hold fast without wavering (1 John 3:3).
